The start capacitor in a motor control box is considered a consumable part. Capacitors tend to lose capacitance over time and/or use, and need to be replaced when the capacitance drops 10% below the rated capacitance  or electrolyte leaking is observed.

    Capacitors Packaged Well, Delivered Quickly

    I ordered two capacitors for my submersible pump control. They arrived packaged well and were exactly what I needed. Now when the pump capacitor fails it will be a $25 repair instead of $120 for the whole assembly.
